An egghead-shaped jig with a 1/0 durable needlepoint hook that will hang on when fighting large gamefish. Our Pompano Jig maintains a natural appearance gliding through the water. A great choice for targeting saltwater gamefish. Made with a durable, sharp hook, the Pompano Bucktail Jig offers a high-quality paint finish, hand-tied bucktail, and a double-painted eye that appears natural underwater.
Find Pompano along sandy beaches, oyster banks, and over grass beds inshore and nearshore in Florida. Catch Pompano and Permit at bridges while they are in season (they disappear in winter and return in early spring) and get yourself some Bucktail jigs. You can find Pompano in schools throughout the coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean from Massachusetts to Brazil as well as in the Gulf of Mexico. Pompano hang out in the surf, inlets, and inshore bays throughout Florida.
